In this time of COVID, Canadians have come together in the best way to keep each other safe, and raise each other’s spirits. Today, we take a moment to celebrate truly wonderful contributions by Canadians to art music. A Canada Day first for us, Odawa First Nations composer Barbara Croall leads us in Land Acknowledgement.

Program includes highlights and selections from:

- David McIntyre “A Wild Innocence,” written for the Montreal International Competition, performed by pianist Younggun Kim

- Chan Ka Nin "Soulmate" performed by Co-Artistic Director Sharon Lee

- James Campbell Harp Concerto, written for and performed by his wife, Teresa Suen-Campbell

- “Fondness,” an original ballad by Nathan Hiltz and Melissa Lauren

- As well as an introduction of Sam Bisson, our new Composer in Residence, and what he has in store for us for our grand season finale.

We round out the program by taking a trip down memory lane as we recall some of our most memorable O Canada performances.
